How will you stay relevant in a complex world?

It’s hard to believe 2022 is entering its last three months. I love this time of year: from the fall colors to the cozy clothes and the cooler temperatures. For IABC Greater Cincinnati, it’s also the beginning of our new program year. The entire board is excited about this year’s initiatives, and we hope you will join us as we continue to ensure communicators remain “Relevant in a Complex World.”

To do this, we’re prioritizing quality over quantity. We’ve identified three pillars of focus:

  1. advocacy
  2. career development
  3. community service

Rather than having a program every month, we’re putting our efforts into the things we believe will have the most impact on communications professionals in the Ohio-Kentucky-Indiana area. That includes some great virtual and in-person learning opportunities. We've expanded into broader initiatives like our new mentoring program, Fuel the Future, and the Communication Professionals’ Declaration for Diverse and Inclusive Impact, which we hope many of you will participate in. We’ll also be giving back through Gift of Communications, during which we’ll help solve a communications challenge for local non-profit groups.

Most importantly, we want to continue to be a resource and an advocate for those in the communications field. And we can’t do that without all of you. We welcome anyone who wants to participate on the board or just help out.

We hope you’ll reach out to us through the Contact page with your ideas for how we can support you and our profession as a whole.
