Where should you spend your time and budget? The Marketing Collective Has the Answers

Who said the energy and learning were done? We still have great momentum from the HERStory Business Communication Expo, and over the next few weeks, we will share some insights from the event. Joe Bobbey, VP of Finance for IABC Greater Cincinnati, learned this information plus three key points from his session with The Marketing Collective.

The Marketing Collective creates brands that differentiate and resonate no matter the medium. Work that does what it's meant to do - tell the right story to inspire the right audience in a clear and interesting way.

Jesy Wenstrup Herron, Senior Digital Strategist, and Kara C. Williams, Chief Client Strategist and Founding Owner, shared their insights on the top three digital marketing trends, answering the question: Where should you spend your time and budget?

#1 Mobile Indexing - ensuring your website is mobile optimized

Beginning March 2021, Google is using the mobile version of your website for indexing and ranking rather than the desktop version. Ensure your website is responsive, accessible to the Google bots (search engine optimization friendly), and you have the same site access across all devices.

#2 Google My Business - not just for retail shops

Optimizing Google My Business (GMB) takes as much time as updating your social media. (1) Sign up, claim your business, and verify it through GMB service. (2) Update your profile including service availability, business hours, FAQs, photos of your business, and service or product (people can be your product). (3) Share your review form with happy clients. (4) Post weekly about products, events, and news to help with search engine ranking.

#3 Video Marketing - add value to your content strategy

Video content is now being consumed at a much higher rate. Videos add value to your content strategy as interactive product demos, engaging case studies, and authentic testimonials. They can easily be embedded on your website and social media and shared with prospects and customers via email. Need to convince people that in-house videos may not be the way to go in a professional setting? Start by looking at the competition to see what they are doing.
