Provide your talent and expertise by giving back through a Gift of Communication workshop to:
-
Help local, social service organizations overcome a communication challenge
-
Enable you or someone on your team to apply professional skills and experience to help a local organization
The holiday season brings the opportunity to eat, drink and be merry. It’s also a time of giving, and a Gift of Communication is a unique way you can make a difference. Social service organizations with limited resources often depend upon volunteers. They seek new ways to apply strategic communications so they can address business challenges and move their organizations forward.
Gift of Communication volunteers span the spectrum from entry-level to the most senior communicators. It is also open to all genres of communication roles and functions from research and data to PR and public affairs.
HOW IT WORKS
Sign up for Gift of Communication today so that we know who all is interested.
Then, closer to the event date, you and fellow communication professionals will be assigned a communication challenge. You will receive an overview of the organization’s mission and communication issue before the event.
IABC will facilitate the discussions the day of the event.
You and fellow experts will sit down at tables with the organization’s representatives to listen and discuss the issues in order to provide meaningful communications advice and support. Before the session concludes, each table briefly shares their issues and the solutions they discussed so everyone can gain valuable learning and information. The organization will walk away with actionable items that will help them address the challenges they’ve defined.
