About the Panelists
Cynthia Cole
Cynthia A. Cole is the Director of Development and Communications for the Legal Aid Society of Greater Cincinnati. In her role, she is responsible for generating philanthropic funds from individuals and foundations, as well as managing communications for Legal Aid and its affiliate, the Volunteer Lawyers for the Poor Foundation (VLPF). At Legal Aid, she has increased the individual donor base, managed a successful $1+MM major gift campaign, and expanded support from private foundations. She developed the Legal Aid and VLPF websites and social media platforms, as well as creating a variety of marketing publications.
Cynthia received her B.A. from Kenyon College and her M.B.A. from the Columbia University Graduate School of Business. She also holds a Six Sigma green belt certification.
Gabrielle Loring
Gabrielle (Gabi) Loring is an award-winning communicator, efficient problem-solver and creative guide. She loves partnering with clients to deliver strategic, creative communications campaigns. Gabi is an outstanding communicator with a strong eye for detail and effective design.
A Managing Consultant with ROC Group, Gabi’s expertise is in working with clients to develop and implement complex, multi-media strategies for communicating human resource, change and benefits-related issues. She specializes in topics including wellness, health, retirement, DEI, and total rewards.
An active volunteer of the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC), Gabi is currently the IABC DEI Committee Chair. She has also served as IABC Awards Committee Chair and for the past six years as Chicago Gold Quill Awards Blue Ribbon Panel Chair. For IABC Chicago, she served as president, secretary and volunteer director, and received the 2017 Karen Utterback Volunteer Award.
In her spare time, Gabi participates in a German Speakers Meetup Group; she supports the arts and her alma mater, Northern Illinois University.
Dana Vonderbrink
Dana graduated from the University of Kentucky in 2013. Throughout her professional career, she has held several marketing roles serving various industries, including Sports and Entertainment, Construction and Service, and Insurance.
In 2018, she joined the EyeMed team as a Marketing Operations Specialist and Proposal Writer, and now serve as an Associate Manager and Senior Writer on the proposals team.
