What you can expect in 2020
On behalf of the IABC Greater Cincinnati board, I am happy to share that you will have new, different and fun ways to engage with the chapter this year. You will also have the opportunity to attend quality, professional development programming that you’ve come to expect from the chapter.
Our aim is to be the business communicator’s resource advocate, and some of the ways we will accomplish this include:
- Launching a new website in Q1; it will be more user-friendly, have a refreshed look and provide information for you to stay in the know. Thanks to Sanger & Eby for helping us through this journey.
- Launching a new video series titled “Relevant In A Complex World” featuring one-on-one interviews with comms leaders throughout Greater Cincinnati; you’ll hear how iconic brands continue to stand the test of time.
- Doing member profiles to showcase fellow IABCers who represent the many talents and roles of communication throughout Greater Cincinnati.
- Providing professional development programs that will be announced soon; continue to watch our social media posts on Twitter, LinkedIn and Facebook as well as our website and your email to know how you can stay engaged.
I also want to use this time to give some love to the “I” in IABC. The Greater Cincinnati chapter is part of an international network of communicators from around the world. IABC’s World Conference will be held in Chicago, IL, June 14-17. It is a great way to see the breadth of what IABC has to offer from fellow communicators around the world and is open to members and non-members.
2019 was an awesome year, and in November, I shared a video thank you message to our members. I want to start 2020 by saying thank you again for continuing to be a part of our chapter.
